STC RMC's technical communication competitions

Number of entries and awards up from previous year

Thanks to a slowly recovering economy — we hope! — and stronger publicity measures, the number of entries for the Rocky Mountain Chapter's competitions in Technical Art, Technical Publications, and Online Communications increased significantly this year. The technical art and technical publications competitions have completed their judging; the online communications competition entries are scheduled to be judged on January 18, 2003. Out of respect for those entrants whose work has not yet been judged, we are not listing the winners in this article, but we do want to announce the number of winners in the technical art and technical publications competitions . . . and so, without further ado, the numbers, please:

  • Technical Art: three Distinguished Awards; one Merit Award.
  • Technical Publications: eight Distinguished Awards, nine Excellence Awards, and eight Merit Awards.

Look for a full review of the competition and winners in the next issue of Technicalities.
