Call for Presentations: Hot Trends for Communicators

The Phoenix Chapter invites you to share your expertise, experience, and “hot trends for communicators” at the 1999 Region 5 Conference which will be held at the Ahwautukee Grace Inn, Phoenix, AZ, October 14-16, 1999. 

About Presentation Formats

You can propose a presentation in any of the following formats:

  • Specific topic by an individual speaker
  • Panel discussion about a specific topic or related topics by a group of experts, followed by an informal discussion with the audience
  • Progression with a small group of people featuring brief presentations, followed by round table discussions
  • Workshop with an interactive presentation followed by an individual or group exercise.

How to Submit Your Presentation

Submit your proposal by July 16, 1999, to Sandy Harnagel at sandyh@worldnet.att.net using PROPOSAL as the subject line, or fax to 480.614.9162. For more information, see the Phoenix Chapter web site at http://www.stc-phoenix.com/regn5.htm.

When submitting your proposal, provide the following details:

  • Presenter’s name, company, title, address, phone number, and email address
  • Presentation title
  • Outline and objectives of proposal
  • Paragraph describing presentation content that will be published in the Preliminary and Final Programs
  • Biography of 100 words or less for the Preliminary and Final Programs
  • Format (individual talk, panel discussion, progression, workshop)
  • Audience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
  • Audio/visual equipment needs
  • Special needs (wheel chair access, vegetarian meal)
  • Scheduling restrictions (days or times you cannot be present).

If Your Presentation is Accepted

If your presentation is accepted, you will receive a 25 percent discount on your conference registration.
