1999 George E. Hoerter Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication will grant one undergraduate award and one graduate award in recognition of George E. Hoerter’s contributions to our chapter and his international service as society treasurer. 

The scholarships are available to undergraduate students with sophomore or higher standing and to graduate students. Qualified applicants must show promise of contributing to the field of technical communication after they graduate. Each award is for $750. The funds can be used for:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Books and class materials
  • STC regional or annual conferences
  • Technical communication seminars.

Award applications must be postmarked by Monday, February 15. Applicants should submit a completed application form, a one- to three-page letter including a statement of their career goals, and two letters of recommendation from faculty members in the field of technical communication.
