Do you want to expand your writing beyond
technical writing? Do you dream of publishing a novel, children's
book or magazine article? Do you have questions about the
publishing process? This presentation, lead by professional
freelance writer and Northern Colorado Writers director, Kerrie
Flanagan, will introduce you to the world of publishing. She
will talk about the publishing process, share tips on catching
editors/agents attention, discuss writing resources and the
biggest hurdle for most writers---attitude. You will leave
with a better understanding of the publishing world and be
ready to venture outside the technical writing realm.
Presenter Bio:
Kerrie Flanagan is a professional freelance writer whose
100+ articles have appeared in various magazines including FamilyFun,
SkyWest, Chicago Tribune and Woman's World. She is a contributing
editor for Journey
Magazine, a Fort Collins magazine for women. Her monthly
column ran for two years in the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
Her touching and humorous stories can be found in Chicken Soup
for the Caregivers Soul, Christian Soul 2, and Mother and Son
Soul.
