Program: Putting Personas to Work: Improving Your Scenarios, Reviews and Usability Testing with Personas

Reduced rate for program and dinner for students, both STC members and nonmembers (please provide your student ID at the meeting check-in desk).
Program Only Price: $7
This covers the cost of the program only and does not include a meal. A beverage is included.
An additional $5 will be assessed for attendees who want dinner, but who register late or show up at the door.

Looking for ways to improve the usability of your web site, software or documentation? Learn how to use these portraits of users to create more realistic scenarios, review a prototype or draft, and set up usability tests. This meeting will be interactive, so come ready to try out some new ideas.


Whitney Quesenbery
About the Speaker: Whitney Quesenbery is President of UPA (Usability Professionals' Association) and the principal consultant for Whitney Interactive Design. She is a user interface designer and usability specialist with a passion for clear communication. She helps develop new concepts for product designs and has worked on award winning multimedia products, web sites, and web & software applications.

Whitney teaches, presents and writes at many user experience events. She is the President of UPA (Usability Professionals' Association), and an STC Associate Fellow.  As a director Design for Democracy (a strategic initiative of AIGA and UPA) and a member of a US federal advisory committee, she works to  ensure the usability of voting systems.
 
Before she was seduced by a little beige computer into the world of usability, Whitney was a theatrical lighting designer. The lessons she learned about the power of stories now get put to use in her work with personas.
