WBT Developer

I'm David Garrett, president of Zoa Techmedia, and I'm looking for someone to handle these two major functions of a Web-based Training project:

  • Storyboard (from user documentation)
  • WBT development

A high-level design has already been completed, but I need a detailed storyboard and actual creation of the WBT. This project is working under tight deadlines, so I need someone who is ready to go and can work in a dedicated manner through the end of September.

The deadlines are tight, but the scope is well-defined. The deliverable will be text and screen animations primarily with no quizzes or tests. There will be no learner management functions. The target produce is a fairly simple Web-based application that really doesn't do a whole lot. There are probably less than 10 major functions that need to be considered. However, it needs to be aimed at a user with low computer expertise, so it needs to be "polished" and engaging so that learners will turn into users of the system.

Tool knowledge needed is the Macromedia suite, primarily Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash for the animations. I have some templates and approaches that we can use to get the project underway. The first thing that needs to be done is the storyboard. Ideally one contractor will have the instructional design knowledge and writing ability to develop the storyboard and the Macromedia expertise to develop the end product from the storyboard. But if you are only interested in one aspect or the other, feel free to contact me and maybe we can work something out.

This project has a go of ASAP so please don't bother if you're not immediately available. This is a contract job, with potential other work for the same client (they will need a total of three WBT products, two of which will be "add-ons" to this initial effort).

You can send a resume if you like, but I'd prefer a few paragraphs that addresses your experience in the areas described above. If you have samples or URLs to work you have done that would be delightful.

Send email response only to: garrettd@zoatechmedia.com.
