Write, compile, and edit Web-based documentation for a broad array of cryospheric data sets and topics. Design new Web pages for dissemination of data set documentation and product team information.

Requires Bachelor's degree in technical writing, Web design, or a related field. Two years experience writing and designing technical content for Web sites. Strong writing skills with the ability to write for general and technical audiences. Strong skills in Web design and content development using HTML and Web design tools such as Dreamweaver.

Knowledge and experience in earth science, polar regions, or remote sensing desirable.

Contract Specialist

Innovar has an exciting new opportunity for a Contract Specialist with our client in North Denver. The ideal candidate will have experience with GSA standards and some experience in the Defense industry would be a plus. This is a 6 month contract position at Broomfield,CO.

This role will specifically work with contracts in support of Antenna and Video standard products. This is not a management role and this person will be part of the contracts / proposal management team.

Requirements:

  • Must have a BS or 10+ years experience of experience with government contract / proposal planning and management.
  • Strong understanding of General Services Administration processes and willingness to lead e-commerce type of business transactions will be a key component of the job requirements.
  • 10 or more years experience with process, proposal preparation/negotiations, and FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Financial analysis / budgeting and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Pre-Award Activities such as - Proposal Support, Negotiation Sessions, Risk and Reward equations.
  • Experience working with Key Shareholders for budget planning, etc
  • Experience with Post-Award Activities such as - Contract Compliance (ITAR violations, etc.), Risk Management (ISO procedures / ITAE admin req, Warranty provisions, etc. )

This TECHNICAL WRITER position is immediately available, and based in the central Mid Continent area (not Denver).  The position has a base salary in the mid five figures, comprehensive employee and family benefits, plus, relocation assistance. The Employer is a highly regarded, well capitalized, and profitable publically traded company involved in designing and fabricating "high ticket", highly engineered, structural steel products.

NATURE OF POSITION:  Develop and maintain product manuals to ensure they meet or exceed specifications defined by Product Managers and Service/Warranty Managers. Write manuals and bulletins. This position will interact with all functional areas within the Division.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. B.A./B.S. in Technical Communications, Computer Science, Journalism or related field or minimum 5 years of equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience;
  2. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point, along with Desktop publishing, and Graphic design software including PageMaker, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat preferred;
  3. Experience at writing and illustrating technical service, assembly and owners manuals that cover service, assembly, maintenance and use of electronic, electrical and mechanical components / products;
  4. Five years of experience preferred in developing technical service, assembly and Owners manuals from product knowledge to publication;
  5. Five years writing experience in a technical field would be a plus;
  6. Knowledge of graphics design methods, techniques, and equipment preferred;
  7. Experience in writing/illustrating for an OEM equipment manufacturer a plus;
  8. Must have excellent writing and communications skills;
  9. History of positive performance, attendance, etc.
