The Secrets of Building Your Network
Speaker: Kristin A. Salada of New Angle Consulting

Are you overwhelmed by the prospect of needing to get out there and do more networking? We can help!

Join us for a special "Rapid Networking" session. Kristin will share some key networking tips for success, and then you'll spend time having one-on-one conversations with many of those in attendance.

This speedy collegiality will be timed, facilitated, and guided. You'll learn how to meet new people and maximize each encounter. When it's over, you can go back and get to know those of particular interest to you at greater length. This will be fun as well as effective!

Join us and discover how to lay a strong foundation for your business as we begin the New Year.

Rocky Mountain Chapter awarded Community of Excellence
STC RMC received another Community of Excellence award this year. The award reads, "For seeking innovative alternatives to monthly meetings and providing member services to a geographically dispersed community." Special thanks to 2009-2010 President-elect Ruth Gaulke for submitting the Community Achievement Award application that led to the award.

Careers in technical communication
The Rocky Mountain Community is pleased to offer college classes a session with an RMC officer on what a career in technical communication may hold for students. If you know of a class that could benefit from this type of presentation, talk it over with Deb Lockwood, STC RMC president's advisory council.

Feel free to check out this presentation (PDF) for a sneak peek.
