STC RMC 2011-2012 Strategic PlanThe STC RMC 2011-2012 strategic plan was developed by STC RMC executive council and key stakeholders and managers. Initiative 1: Create and define a social media manager roleWe will recruit for a social media manager rather than the traditional publicity role. This person would be responsible for making sure our announcements/content is delivered through all appropriate social media outlets. Initiative 2: Content management (refining our systems)Define and create a content management system. We will work to 1) centralize our content in an organized manner and 2) as much as possible get our content into one non-proprietary format (where it makes sense). Initiative 3: Active member rewardsThe active member rewards program has been successful at several different chapters throughout the STC organization. We will work to implement this in our chapter. Initiative 4: Revamp Programs and NetworkingThe Programs Committee will work on arranging a set number of programs in person as well as webinars. We all know that one of the ROIs on STC RMC membership is networking. In addition to our regularly held networking meetings, we will strive to hold as many "impromtu" networking meetings as possible. Initiative 5: Budget, create efficiencies within the organizationWe will identify the overlap in our various systems we have and, where appropriate, replace or combine them. Initiative 6: Promote un-conferencesWe will promote participant-driven meetings or conferences (unconferences). Initiative 7: Clean up the monthly program surveys as well as Constant ContactWe will work to reduce legacy content in these two tools we use. Initiative 8: Clean out storage lockerWe will work to clean out the storage locker and close it, recouping the annual cost of that that savings for the membership. We will work to transfer all paper documents that we keep to electronic media. Initiative 9: Reporting structure (org chart for officers/managers)In an effort to streamline our projects, we will work to implement a reporting structure for the Council. |
